BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Call to order 7:45pm
§ Elaine has a new email address: dreamworker4@yahoo.com
§ 21 residents paid
§ Special assessment raised $4550
§ $100 initial work on W Lakeview
§ Owe $1000 to Friends of Manitook Lake
§ Owe $1700 for plowing contract, $329 for January taxes
§ Linda gave the report. 17 members currently, hoping more will join. Letter sent will encourage more to sign up.
§ Big meeting planned for Sept 30; need help setting up church hall.
§ Tag sale fundraiser meeting scheduled for Sept 23 at Laudati’s, 7pm
§ Sue Nilsen found a notation regarding the Old West Lakeview road condition in the Minutes of MLA, July 12, 1999, as follows:
§ “Old West Lakeview Drive has fallen into serious disrepair. It was suggested that we convey the land to the adjacent landowners, but Raleigh Carpenter vetoed that proposal. Since it is an association road, Jim Moloney wants it to be maintained so as to provide access to the rear of his property. It was decided to maintain the road for basic access but not as a full road.”
§ Rich Thoms installed poles in the roadway (no chain across) to eliminate using the road as a throughway.
§ Two contractors/excavators have been consulted: Crestview (not interested), and Bill Beach (not interested).
§ Discussion re: staged process due to financial constraints: this year, posts/stone/grading. Estimated cost for this year, $750 to $1000
§ Will hold a special association meeting to request the additional funds for this purpose. Need 5 days advanced notice. Postcard to be sent out reading, “Special meeting called to vote on appropriating funds from the treasury to address road washouts on Lakeside Dr. Sunday, September 28, 2008, 4:00pm on the beach.”
