BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Present: Dick Sonderegger, Mark Wilson, Lance Bushey, Karen Suponski, Elaine Thoms, Sue Nilsen, Linda Knorr
Call to order 7:35pm
MSC to accept the June 5 board minutes.
§ Treasurer – $6475 balance (19 paid to date regular dues), not including special assessment (collected $4200 on special assessment). Still owe Friends of Manitook Lake 1K of the 2K promised. Sue spoke to realtor about collecting back dues on 480 (?) Salmon Brook St; no response yet…she will follow up again.
§ Weed Committee – Linda reported that Friends of ML is officially incorporated, has a tax ID, and a mailing address (PO Box 838, Granby, CT 06035). A mailing will be going out with updates and invitation to first annual meeting scheduled for September 30 at North Congregational Church. Noted that payments to the special assessment does not constitute membership in FML.
§ Dumpster request - Jim Moloney has asked permission to place a dumpster on the side of the beach property (near gate) for construction in his front yard – board granted permission for short term placement.
§ West Lakeview road erosion - Noted discussion points:
§ Close off the road or repair it, and costs
§ Engineering cisterns and piping of water to control erosion (dig drywell at top and one at bottom; purchase 2” trap rock for French drains; investigate piping options; get price from Rich Thoms for work; meet with Rich on 8/14 to discuss cistern ideas and road block placement)
§ Block any possible through traffic by installing a chain across at the halfway mark
§ Task Steve W with getting chain and posts installed (Dick will contact Steve)
§ Karen to paint/create 2 signs (“Not a thru way” and “Road closed”)
